Cordyceps sp. (ASCOMYCOTA: HYPOCREALES) PARASITISM ON ANT IN THE NORTHEAST OF BRAZIL

This Communication is to register the occurrence of the entomopathogenic fungus Cordyceps sp. parasitizing an ant. The phenomenon was observed in an untouched rainy forest area, in Camaragibe country, State of Pernambuco, Brazil, during the raining season of 2017. The specimen was placed in a humid chamber for 10 days, for further analysis. This is the first report of the fungus in the State of Pernambuco, Brazil.Downloads
