THE PEDAGOGY OF THE LOOK: ADAPTATION STRATEGIES AND THE NATIONAL FILM IN SCHOOL

Abstract

No. 13.006 devise added to the law of the basic education directions/LDB introduces an incision with the following statement: “Film presentations of national origin will constitute a part of curriculum incorporated within a pedagogical proposal of the given school whereas its presentation will be required in the extent of, at least, 2 hours per month”. It is on the basis of this legal landmark dealing with school cinematographic presentation that this article questions this topic in three following parts: what is a Brazilian school  institutional structure and the given professor’s training to introduce and present such a devise; and, as a conclusion, the article introduces an example of cinematographic analysis focused on the contextualized insertion of the cinema as a device of pedagogical training.
