Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

SUBMISSION RULES:

a) It must be original, not have been published partially or completely in another event or journal and bring significant scientific contributions;

b) Submitted in Portuguese;

c) The first author can not be a graduate student;

d) At least one of the authors must be a professor or researcher at a public institution of higher education / research;

e) It must be sent inside the template of the magazine (Model A);

f) Minimum of 5 and maximum of 15 pages, according to the template (Model A);

g) Maximum of 5 authors;

h) Should the article have statistics;

i) You must send a Letter of Concordance with signature of all authors (model B) [insert in additional documents];

j) Two External Evaluation Letters (model C) of two professors or researchers from a public institution of higher education / research, doctors, participants of postgraduate programs, regulated by CAPES, within the area of the article and that you are not interested or will benefit from the publication of the article. This letter should state that all adjustments have been made and fully agree that the article may be published in the journal without corrections;

k) The submitting author is responsible and declares that there has been acceptance of the submission of the manuscript by all authors, and that, in case of contestation by other authors, by undue submission, it will be responsible for the act performed and will exempt the journal for the action performed.

 

L) The authors agree to the COPYRIGHT DECLARATION, FREE ACCESS POLICIES and declare that there is no conflict of interest.

m) If one of the above items is outside the rules, the article will be rejected.

 


EVALUATION PROCESS:

The journal will only accept two evaluations: Accepted without corrections and Rejected. The initial correction is carried out by the author's own evaluators (Letter of External Evaluation - model C) and sent in full for our evaluators to accept or reject, without corrections. The review of the journal will be carried out by two reviewers of the journal (Evaluation Form - model D) without the knowledge of the names of the authors and affiliations (sending blindly). If there is a tie in the reviewers' decisions, the managing editor will decide to break the decisions.

PUBLISHING IN ENGLISH:


If the author wishes to publish in English, it is necessary, after acceptance, to make the translation with a qualified professional and to issue a certificate from the professional, subject to our reassessments.


PUBLICATION POLICIES:


In order to stimulate the dissemination of the journal in the country, we accept a maximum of 2 publications from the editor / journal section each year. The authors of the state of Pernambuco can not exceed 30% of all the magazine's works in the volume.
