Abstract

Cervical lung hernia occurs when part of the lung parenchyma prolapses through an abnormal communication between the thorax and the cervical subcutaneous tissue, and may occur due to congenital or acquired causes, especially in cases where there is intense respiratory effort associated. Clinical signs generally observed include intense respiratory effort and intermittent enlargement in the cervical region. We aimed to report the occurrence of lung prolapse in a semi-domiciled feline with intense dyspnea, observing the occurrence of cervical lung prolapse through cervico-thoracic radiography. Since it is a rare disease, it is important to include it as a differential diagnosis in cases of feline dyspnea, allowing assertive management.
